You’ll Need
- Chicken Breasts: Use large, boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Cut them in half horizontally so they cook evenly.
- Salt and Pepper: Use as much as you like.
- Flour: Helps the egg stick to the chicken. Use any all-purpose flour.
- Eggs: Helps the breadcrumbs stick to the chicken. Beat them well.
- Panko Breadcrumbs: Makes the chicken extra crispy. They are larger than regular breadcrumbs.
- Italian Breadcrumbs: Add extra flavor with herbs and spices. You can use plain breadcrumbs if you prefer.
- Grated Parmesan Cheese: Adds a rich, cheesy flavor. Freshly grated is best, but pre-grated works too.
- Avocado or Olive Oil Spray: Helps the chicken get crispy in the oven. Both oils are healthy choices.
- Garlic: Fresh garlic gives the best flavor. Mince it finely.
- Unsalted Butter: Use unsalted so you can control the saltiness. If you have salted butter, use less extra salt.
- Fresh Parsley: Adds color and a fresh taste. Chop it finely for garnish.

๐ชHow to Make Crispy Garlic Butter Chicken
Place chicken on a cutting board, cover with plastic wrap, and pound evenly. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Place flour in a shallow bowl. Beat eggs in another bowl. Mix panko, Italian breadcrumbs, and Parmesan in a third bowl. Coat chicken in flour, then eggs, then breadcrumbs. Place in your air fryer basket and spray with a cooking oil spray.
Air fry at 390ยฐF (200ยฐC) for 10-12 minutes. Flip and spray with oil after 6 minutes. Cook for another 4-6 minutes. Cook in batches of two.

Heat the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Sautรฉ garlic for 30 seconds. Add chicken and cook for 1 minute per side in garlic butter. Sprinkle with parsley, and squeeze lemon if desired.

Recipe Tips
- Even Thickness: Pound the chicken fillets to an even thickness to ensure they cook evenly and stay juicy.
- Chill After Breading: For extra crispy chicken, place the breaded fillets in the fridge for 15-20 minutes before cooking. This helps the coating adhere better.
- Oil Spray: Use an oil spray to lightly coat the chicken before air frying or baking. This promotes a golden, crispy crust.
- Donโt Overcrowd: When cooking in the air fryer, make sure the chicken fillets are in a single layer with space between them. This allows for even cooking and crisping.
- Fresh Parmesan: Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the breadcrumb mixture. It melts better and adds a richer flavor.

Storage and Reheating
- To store, place the cooled chicken in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, preheat the air fryer to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer and heat for 4-6 minutes, or until warmed through and crispy.
