Sauteed Mushrooms and Onions For Burgers

Buttery sautéed mushrooms and onions are so good! It is a perfect side dish. Ready in less than 15 minutes. A great addition to steaks, burgers, soups or stews.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 pound 500 g Cremini or button mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 medium onions thinly sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the mushrooms and Worcestershire sauce, season with pepper and cook until they start to turn brown (about 4-5 minutes).
  • Add the onions and cook until they become translucent, about 4 minutes. Keep stirring every minute.
  • Reduce the heat  to low and stir in the garlic in the last minute, stirring continuously. Season with salt to your liking.
  • Sprinkle with rosemary and serve with steaks, burgers or as a side dish.
