Position a rack in the middle of the oven. Preheat your oven to 375° F/ 190° C.
Arrange salmon in a skillet in one layer. Season with salt and pepper. Add the butter.
Bake for 7-10 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from the oven and transfer on a plate. Alternatively you can pan sear salmon.
In the same skillet cook the broccoli over medium heat until just turning vibrant in color. You might need to add 1/4 cup of water and cook until the water evaporates completely.
Add the minced garlic and cook further for 40-50 seconds or until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream, reduce the heat down to low and bring to a gentle simmer. Simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens to your liking. Season the sauce with black pepper, Italian seasoning and salt.
Stir in the parmesan cheese and cook until it melts.
Return the salmon back to the skillet and give everything a good stir to combine all of the flavors together.
Garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!
