- Vegetable oil- 3 tablespoons
- Onion finely chopped-1
- Ginger minced- 1 teaspoon
- Garlic cloves finely chopped-5
- Green chili sliced-2
- Mushrooms sliced-1 lbs ( 500 g)
- Green bell pepper chopped-2
- Salt and pepper -to taste
- Cooked rice- 4 cups
- Toasted sesame oil-2 tablespoons
- Oyster sauce-2 tablespoons
- Low sodium soy sauce- 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper sauce- 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro leaves chopped-3 tablespoons
- Black sesame seeds- 2 tablespoons
In a small bowl combine toasted sesame oil, oyster sauce, soy sauce and black pepper sauce. Mix and keep aside.
Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat in a large wok or skillet. Add the onion and saute until translucent, then add ginger, garlic and green chilies. Cook until fragrant.
Add the mushrooms and bell peppers and cook until tender, about 3 minutes. Season the veggies with salt and ground black pepper. Mix well.
Finally add the cooked rice, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the rice starts to soften.
Stir in the sauce mixture and cook for an additional minute to heat the sauce through the rice.
Garnish with fresh cilantro and black sesame seeds.
