- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt whole milk or 2%
- 1 clove garlic grated using a microplane
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill
- ¼ cup finely chopped fresh chives or green onions
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 3-6 tablespoons water* use less for a dip, more for a pourable dressing, see the notes
- salt and ground black pepper to season
In a small bowl, mix ½ cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 clove garlic (grated), ¼ cup finely chopped fresh chives (or green onions), 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill, and 2 teaspoons lemon juice. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
To adjust the consistency, add 3-6 tablespoons water*: For a thick dip, start with 3 tablespoons. For a pourable dressing, use 1/3 cup.
Use it as a dip for veggies or crispy chicken wings, a dressing for salads or slaw, or even a spread for sandwiches.
*The amount of water depends on how thick you want it. Use 3 tablespoons for a thicker, dip-like texture or up to 6 tablespoons for a thinner, pourable dressing that’s perfect for salads.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
- Shake or stir before serving, as it may thicken over time.
- Not freezer-friendly—the yogurt base can separate and change texture.
