- 12 wonton wrappers
- 4 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup cooked & crumbled bacon reserve 2 tablespoons
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese reserve 2 tablespoons
- 3-4 jalapenos seeded and chopped
- 1 tablespoon green onions chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly coat the muffin pan with cooking spray. Press WONTON WRAPPERS into the cups of a muffin tin, forming a small cup shape. Bake for 8 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Take out of the oven and let it cool for a while.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the CREAM CHEESE, SOUR CREAM, BACON, CHEDDAR CHEESE, chopped JALAPENOS, GREEN ONIONS, CUMIN, SALT and PEPPER.
Scoop the filling into the wonton cups, and then top them with the reserved bacon and cheese.
Place them back in the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, until the wontons turn golden brown and the cheese has melted.
Let them cool for about 3 minutes and serve while warm.
To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container after they have cooled completely. Keep them refrigerated for up to 4 days. When you're ready to enjoy them again, you can reheat them in the oven.
Reheat in the preheated oven to 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes or until they are heated through and the edges are crispy again. ❗ We don't recommend to reheat in a toaster, as the filling and delicate wonton wrappers may not heat evenly and could become too crispy or burn.
