Salmon:
- Unsalted butter- 2 tablespoons
- Salmon fillets skinless-4 ( 6 ounce/ 170 g each)
- Orange juice-1/3 cup
- Honey- 3 tablespoons
- Low-sodium soy sauce- 3 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves minced-1 tablespoon
- Ginger minced-1 teaspoon
- Black pepper and salt -to taste.
For serving:
- Orange sliced-1
- Scallions chopped- 2 tablespoons
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Sear salmon (skin-side down) for 4 minutes, then flip and sear further for 3 minutes.
Add the garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Pour in the orange juice and cook further for 1 minute. Move the salmon to the sides of the pan and add soy sauce and honey. Stir to combine.
Bring to a gentle simmer until it becomes a sticky syrup, about 40 seconds to 1 minute. Coat the salmon in the sauce evenly. Remove from the heat. Garnish with scallions.
Serve immediately with steamed rice or veggies. Enjoy!
