Description

These Jalapeno Popper Wonton Cups: Crispy, creamy, and loaded with flavor! Perfect appetizers for parties and game days. Irresistibly delicious bites!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup cooked & crumbled bacon, reserve 2 tablespoons
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, reserve 2 tablespoons
  • 3-4 jalapenos, seeded and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly coat the muffin pan with cooking spray. Press WONTON WRAPPERS into the cups of a muffin tin, forming a small cup shape. Bake for 8 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Take out of the oven and let it cool for a while.
  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the CREAM CHEESE, SOUR CREAM, BACON, CHEDDAR CHEESE, chopped JALAPENOS, GREEN ONIONS, CUMIN, SALT and PEPPER.
  • Scoop the filling into the wonton cups, and then top them with the reserved bacon and cheese.
  • Place them back in the oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes, until the wontons turn golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • Let them cool for about 3 minutes and serve while warm.

Notes

To store leftovers, place them in an airtight container after they have cooled completely. Keep them refrigerated for up to 4 days. When you're ready to enjoy them again, you can reheat them in the oven.

Reheat in the preheated oven to 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes or until they are heated through and the edges are crispy again. ❗ We don't recommend to reheat in a toaster, as the filling and delicate wonton wrappers may not heat evenly and could become too crispy or burn.
