TABOULI RECIPE WITH BROWN BURG

Ingredients

  • Brown Burg cracked wheat- 5 tbsp
  • Tomatoes- 5 large
  • Flat-leaf parsley- 2 bunches
  • Mint Leaves- 1 bunch
  • Olive oil- 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice-3 tbsp
  • Salt-To Taste
  • Cayenne Pepper- To Taste

Instructions

  • Place brown burg( cracked wheat) in a medium bowl, add 100 ml of boiling water, cover and set aside for 15-20 minutes until burg absorb all the water.
  • Chop tomatoes, flat-leaf parsley and mint leaves.
  • Combine softened burg, chopped tomatoes, parsley and mint leaves. Add olive oil and lemon juice. Mix well.
  • As an option you can add an onion & garlic.
  • Viola! Arabic Tabouli salad!
