- 2 medium oranges peeled and cut into wedges
- 2 medium lemons peeled and cut into wedges
- ½ cup fresh ginger peeled and cut into small chunks
- ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1-2 tablespoons raw honey
- 2 cups coconut water or water
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until completely smooth. Taste and adjust honey if needed.
Strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth for a smoother texture (optional).
Pour into small bottles or jars and refrigerate for up to 3–4 days. This recipe yields about 3–4 cups total, depending on the citrus. That’s roughly 12–16 small shots (2–3 oz each) or 6–8 servings if poured as a small drink.
- Adjust the strength: Use more or less ginger depending on how spicy you like your shots.
- Sweetness tip: Start with 1 tablespoon honey, then add more to taste.
- For best texture: Strain for smooth, shot-style consistency; skip straining if you prefer it more filling.
- Make it stronger: Reduce the coconut water slightly for a more concentrated shot.
- Boost absorption: The black pepper helps your body absorb turmeric better—don’t skip it.
- Storage: Keep in an airtight glass container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days. Shake before serving.
- Freezing option: Freeze in ice cube trays and thaw one cube as needed.
