Chocolate Chip Pancake Recipe

Fluffy, indulgent chocolate chip pancakes! You’re going to love their decadent texture, beautiful flavor, and minimal ingredients. 


  • 2 cups (10 ounces) all-purpose or plain four
  • 1/4 cup  (2 ounces) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups (440 ml) milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 medium egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2-3/4  cup chocolate chips


  • In a large bowl combine together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Whisk the wet ingredients together in a measuring cup using a wire whisk. Mix until smooth.
  • Make a well in the centre and add the wet ingredients. Mix just until combined. The batter will be thick and creamy, and should pour off the ladle smoothly.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Heat your griddle or nonstick pan over  medium heat and wipe over with vegetable oil or a little butter to grease pan. Once it is hot, pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the pan or griddle and spread out into a round shape with the bottom of a measuring cup.
  • When the bubbles begin to appear on the surface, flip with a spatula and cook further until golden. Repeat with remaining batter.
  • Serve with melted chocolate, honey, maple syrup and fresh berries.
