TABOULI RECIPE WITH BROWN BURG

Ingredients

  • Brown Burg( cracked wheat)- 5 tbsp
  • Tomatoes- 5 large
  • Flat-leaf parsley- 2 bunches
  • Mint Leaves- 1 bunch
  • Olive oil- 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice-3 tbsp
  • Salt-To Taste
  • Cayenne Pepper- To Taste

Instructions

  1. Place brown burg( cracked wheat) in a medium bowl, add 100 ml of boiling water, cover and set aside for 15-20 minutes until burg absorb all the water.
  2. Chop tomatoes, flat-leaf parsley and mint leaves.
  3. Combine softened burg, chopped tomatoes, parsley and mint leaves. Add olive oil and lemon juice. Mix well.
  4. As an option you can add an onion & garlic.
  5. Viola! Arabic Tabouli salad!
