Description
This Shrimp Stir Fry is a simple yet absolutely delicious stir fry that everybody loves! Juicy shrimp, snow peas, mushrooms, bell pepper are tossed in a homemade delicious stir fry sauce.

- FOR STIR FRY
- Shrimp (peeled and deveined, tail on or off)- 1 1/2 pounds/ 700 gm
- Snow peas- 1 cup
- Mushrooms (sliced)-6
- Orange bell pepper ( sliced)-1
- Garlic cloves ( minced)- 6
- Ginger (finely chopped)- 1 tbsp.
- Vegetable oil - 4 tbsp.
- FOR THE SAUCE
- Dark soy sauce-3 tbsp.
- Oyster sauce-2 tbsp.
- Juice of 1 lime
- Rice vinegar-1 tbsp.
- Brown sugar- 1 1/2 tsp.
- Sesame oil- 1 tbsp.
- Cornstarch- 1 tbsp.
- Water- 1 tbsp.
Instructions
- In a small bowl whisk together the sauce ingredients ( soy sauce, lime juice, oyster sauce,rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, cornstarch and water. Keep aside.
- Heat 2 tbsp. of the vegetable oil in a large pan/ skillet over medium high heat. Add the shrimp, and cook until pink ( about 2-3 minutes).Transfer the cooked shrimp to a plate.
- In the same pan/skillet heat the remaining oil, add garlic and ginger and saute 30 seconds over medium heat. Add the vegetables and cook 2-3 minutes or until tender but crispy.
- Stir in the sauce and mix until well combined and slightly thickened.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet/ pan , toss to coat.
- Serve immediately with steamed rice.
