Description

The best Mushroom Fried Rice ever! Quick and easy to make. Fried Rice with mushrooms, green chili, bell peppers and a good kick of garlic.


Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil- 3 tablespoons
  • Onion ( finely chopped)-1
  • Ginger (minced)- 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic cloves ( finely chopped)-5
  • Green chili (sliced)-2
  • Mushrooms ( sliced)-1 lbs ( 500 g)
  • Green bell pepper ( chopped)-2
  • Salt and pepper -to taste
  • Cooked rice- 4 cups
  • Toasted sesame oil-2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce-2 tablespoons
  • Low sodium soy sauce- 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper sauce- 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro leaves ( chopped)-3 tablespoons
  • Black sesame seeds- 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  • In a small bowl combine toasted sesame oil, oyster sauce, soy sauce and black pepper sauce. Mix and keep aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat in a large wok or skillet.  Add the onion and saute until translucent, then add ginger, garlic and  green chilies. Cook until fragrant.
  • Add the mushrooms and bell peppers and cook until tender, about 3 minutes.  Season the veggies with salt and ground black pepper. Mix well.
  • Finally add the cooked rice,  mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the rice starts to soften.
  • Stir in the sauce mixture and cook for an  additional minute  to heat the sauce through the rice.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and black sesame seeds.
