This perfect Basmati Rice Instant Pot is an easy foolproof recipe. Fluffy and fragrant basmati rice that doesn’t clump every time! Ready in 4 minutes. Say goodbye to mushy and uncooked rice! It is a perfect side dish that goes well with any chicken or vegan dish.
Ingredients
- Ghee- 3 tbsp.
- Whole peppercorns-14
- Black cardamon- 2
- Basmati rice-2 cups
- Salt- 1/2 tsp or as needed
- Fresh dill ( finely chopped)-1/2 cup
- Water- 2 cups
Instructions
- Rinse Rice: Rinse basmati rice under cold running water until water is clear. Drain rice really well as the ration of rice to water in instant pot is crucial.
- Pressure Cook Rice: Add ghee, peppercorns, black cardamon and rice. Mix well. Then, add dill leaves and mix again. Season with salt. Add 2 cups of cold water in instant pot, close the lid, turn venting knob and chose "Pressure Cook" mode, setting time for 4 minutes.
- Once rice is cooked, allow natural air release for 5 minutes. Open the lid and fluff the rice with a spoon or fork.
